Sixty Dome Mosque

The Sixty Dome Mosque, also known as Shat Gombuj Mosque, is one of the most remarkable historical monuments in Bangladesh. Located in Bagerhat, it was built in the 15th century by the Turkish general and saint Khan Jahan Ali.

This mosque is famous for its impressive architecture, featuring 60 stone pillars and 77 domes, supported by thick brick walls. It reflects a unique blend of Islamic and local architectural styles.

Today, the Sixty Dome Mosque is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and stands as a symbol of Bangladesh’s rich Islamic heritage and architectural excellence.
