After breakfast drive to old Dhaka, upon arrival start your day with must see attractions of Dhaka. Then board on The Legendary Rocket Steamer and (boat will start cruise at around 6pm) and will be cruising towards Barisal through the mighty Ganges, & Meghna river and the great delta of Bangladesh. This will be an overnight cruise.
Arrive at Barisal in early morning transfer to your hotel to freshen up. After breakfast ride in local transport (around 45 minutes in a TUK TUK) to Bananipara. Then we take a local motor boat to cruise around the Venice of Bengal, where we can see the floating vegetable markets, buyers and sellers all doing business from a small boat. Visit the village and observe the rural lifestyle. In the late afternoon return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Barisal.
After breakfast start your journey to Sundarban. En route we find the mosque city Bagerhat where you will be visiting several mosques built by General Khan Jahan Ali (mid 15th century) including his Shrine and the glorious Sixty Domed Mosque (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). In the evening we reach Mongla and board a vessel to cruise to Sundarban which is another World Heritage Site. This is the single largest mangrove forest in the world; you will find birds, dolphins, reptiles, and mammals. Outstanding among these is the home for The Royal Bengal Tiger, the largest cat on the planet.
Early in the morning hop on a country boat to cruise through the narrow canals and creeks, taking the chance to sit down on the forest floor, listen, and blend in. After breakfast get ready for a trek in the mangrove; and maybe you come across The Bengal Tiger. Also take a swim alongside the wild beach. This is a day packed full with activity.
Rise early for the canal cruise, go jungle trekking and watch the otter fishing technique. After lunch, disembark and head for Jessore, making some stops at the pottery villages. Sit back and relax for the night.
After a lazy breakfast, investigate the village manufacture of hand-stitched blankets (Nakshi Katha). Then take the afternoon flight to Dhaka and transfer to your hotel.
After breakfast drive to old Capital of Bengal Sonargaon. Visit Sonargaon Folk Museum, Old City Panam, Handloom Weaving village where still people practice the way famous Moslin Cloth was used to weave in ancient time. Have lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon drive back to your hotel. Overnight at Dhaka.
After breakfast transfer to Airport where we say goodbye and wish you a safe flight home.
